Many women love their straight hair. Unfortunately, not everyone can be born with perfectly straight hair. So the option that women choose is to take trip to the hair salon because they cannot do it themselves.

Or use the heat styling tool, such as flatirons, the problem with flat irons is that the heat can sizzle and burn your hair and the damage can lead to split ends and bad hair days.

So the question is how to straighten your hair without using  flat iron or heat?

We will take a look at 4 different methods, all of which are quite effective.

Blow Dry your Hair with Cool Air

  • Firstly, wash your hair and apply conditioner and shampoo.
  • Leave the conditioner on for a couple of minutes to improve hair moisture and prevent curling up.
  • Shampoos specifically made for straightening hair can be found at drugstore and salons or you can buy them all online.

Secondly, towel dry your hair gently until it is mildly dry. Stop when no water is dripping from your hair.

Third, apply anti-frizz spray, leave-in conditioner or hair balm to your hair which will keep it straight and prevent natural curling up due to cool air. Apply from near the scalp to the end.

Lastly, set the coldest setting in your blow dryer and start drying your hair in small sections. Use a flat comb to brush your hair in long, straight strokes as your dry your hair.

Continue this step until your hair is completely straight and dry.

Brushing

Wash your hair with a deep conditioner. Leave the conditioner on for a couple of minutes if you have very dry hair.

Use a dry towel and squeeze it gently onto your hair. Continue until your hair is damp but not dripping wet.

Apply anti-frizz spray, leave-in conditioner or leave-in hair balm onto your hair. Apply more if you have long and thick hair.

Spread it gently throughout by using your fingers. This can reduce the frizziness and make your hair feel light and smooth.

Hang around in a warm, dry place and let your hair dry. Such an environment works well in creating a straight hair style. Humid places can cause curls and frizziness.

Use a flat brush and comb your hair with long, straight strokes until it is completely dry. This will flatten and straighten your hair as it dries.

Apply more straightening serum after your hair is dry, and then style it the way you want to while avoiding any up do.

Rolling

Wash your hair with conditioner and shampoo. Then towel dry your hair gently until it is damp but not dripping wet.

Roll your hair with magnetic curlers which are great for straight hair. Roll each section of here and curl it under instead of up.

Repeat with other sections until it is complete. Make sure your hair stays damp. Then apply setting foam that will help hair dry straight instead of curling up.

Let your hair dry and remove the curlers one at a time. Style you’re here as you want but avoid any up dos.

Permanent Hair Straightening

Chemically straightening your hair is exactly the opposite of getting a perm in that instead of getting virtually perpetual curly hair, you will get pin straight hair. There are several chemical treatments, almost all of which lasts a very long time provided that your does not grow out or you get a haircut.

People with previous chemical treatments like dyeing should stay away from this option as more chemicals will further damage their hair. The treatment is also tedious as you have to do the treatment every time your hair grows out.
